Pluses: fair dice, decent game logic Minuses: moving pieces can be tricky; game pace is very slow. Would be nice to have a "fast" play setting.

This is like all of the backgammon game,very very stupid!!! If the dice rolling could be just a little more realistic it would be slightly more entertaining, but NO!!! It just amazes me how game developers do not have a clue about the games that they are developing. What a waste of time. ZERO STARS!!

Whats the point! Dice always rolls in favor of house( especially in most difficult mode) .No one has such luck. Too bad cause this takes all the fun and spontaneity out of the game. May I get a refund?

Game has good graphics and options. Easy and normal are not challenging. Hard does nothing but get exactly what roll it needs and rolls high numbers with multiple doubles in a row to win the game. Not happy with cheating. Takes away the fun of the game!

Good game, dice rolls seem more random than some other games. Good levels to challenge your skill.

If you like to play, dont waste your money on this. Theres no challenge and computer makes ridiculous moves.

Graphics and responsiveness are good. Basic move strategy are part of the program. Weaker levels are weaker because they tend to play more erratically. Some may call their play bold, some might call it reckless. The highest level, however, plays by the book. The weakest part of the program is its evaluation of the position. This is very simplistic: pip count only. The computer doubles in hopelessly lost positions, just because the pip count seems to warrant it. Human player can score very well in match play. You can expect to receive far less doubles, as well as die count during games. The computer also manipulate its rolls to seemingly increase its skill level. And even when its poor static play leaves multiple direct blots, dont expect to hit them. For the humans part, this is somewhat realistic. The computer does much better in this respect. Its just part of the game. Its probably part of a teaching program, showing you not to leave blots, however improbable they are to hit. Because of all this, the computer is well able to win games at the highest setting, but matches are another matter. Your wins tend to be worth more because of the doubles cube. Use it! Not using it may cause you to lose many won games, all on account of stellar rolls by your opponent. Force him to resign or lose even more points. You can even force resignation when youre lost, as long as you have the better pip count. Getting point for nothing. It doesnt even evaluate if it should fight on due to match score. Pip count is everything. It doesnt even take into account how much better it will roll. But be sure to take into account that it will roll several doubles while you are bearing off, in order to escape and get around the board. Also, expect immediate doubles when you accept it doubling. It is like the programmer wanted it to prove its superiority in the position. So if double 6s will doom you, you probably should decline. Remember, its a points game. Force its resignation when you can. Do this when it will yield the most points. You wont be able to win every game, live with it. It may actually give you a run for your money. And know this, the quality of its rolling only gets better with time. Or play the weaker, more reckless levels. They are fun!

I love this game I havent played backgammon in years and had forgotten just how great it was. If you like playing backgammon get this app.

Backgammon stands the test of time because I always go back to this app over and over without paying to play like other games! I appreciated and would always give my support and highest rating.

Besides having a nice look, the game plays well. I havent seen but one game won by the computer with multiple "miracle rolls" of the dice. Im not sure the doubling cube works like its suppose to, so I dont use it at all. Overall, its very entertaining.

The game is fine, when it works. It stops the game mid play fairly often. It moves to the other players turn when the first one isnt over yet. Overall, the game is so so because of the instability.m

At times it has a clear shot but then it is not taking it and loses disgracefully. Then at other times plays right. Then at times I have noted it gives himself good points and has already doubled you and it wins cheaply. One very good application for this game is pain control. I had a tooth pulled and it was 10/10 painful and I had no access to any pain Meds. By using cold water on my head, ice pack I brought pain down to 5/10 but then I kept playing this game and it was so involving I had only 2/10 pain!

I have played on this app for years. Its design is simple but its games are challenging.

OK to play but hard level will roll whatever it needs to win however many times it needs it. Dont bother to pay even a penny.

I never write reviews for games; I should I guess, but I dont. Ive been playing this game for years, lots of years and it has never disappointed me. The expert level is challenging enough to get me frustrated but has built my playing and strategy levels. This is the best backgammon game Ive played in all my years of playing virtually.

When a double is declined, the computer awards 3 points to the player that offered the double. (Should be 1). This ruins the game. Wish I hadnt bought it.

I cant say that there is no manipulation of of the rolls, but this seems to be the fairest of the games available on the App Store. The one bummer is that you can only play the computer - theres no live play. But over all, this is probably the best backgammon game available.

It would be neet to be able to change the colors.
