Pros and cons of Backgammon Touch app for iPhone and iPad
Backgammon Touch app good for
But whats about the Crafword rule?
It actually a rule, that is usefull in professional matches
of the number of games of BG that i have tried.... this one is by far THE BEST!
I love this app! Several others died or got REALLY slow and glitchy, but I love the fast pace, board design & hopping style if the dice in this game! The only improvement would be an "expert" level.
Worth buying. Finally a backgammon app with random dice rolls.
Good game play. But horrible sound effects. Like nails on a chalk board.
As stated in review no. 13, the doubling function is incorrect if neither player has any men already off the board. It awards points as it is a backgammon rather than a simple win.
Some bad moments
Im dissapointed with this download! Too many problems, the big one is if you bump 2 of the opponents chips off, and he needs to roll, lets just say, a 4 to to get them in and he rolls a 1 and a 4, technically one chip should be put in the opening while another four needs to be rolled! Well this game does not recognize it and waits for a double 4!
Also computer opponent is way too easy and there is no difficulty levels!
Bot doesnt like to hit it seems. Cubes badly (according to GNU not just me), cube takes off also. Interface decent but moves time consuming (read waste of time). Agree with the other real reviewer: I will wait for update.
Not worth the money ..
Game moves very slow .. You have to click (twice) on every peace before you move it and you can only move the peace one time with every click (for example, you roll a 3/2 .. and you want to move the same peace five spaces .. Your first click highlights your peace you want to move .. Second click where you want to move it to and than move three spaces .. Have to click the same peace again (twice) and move the second time .. Imagin moving double rolls .. Very very slow process .. Graphics are ok .. Not good but just ok .. Could get better .. I dont recommend buying this .. Better backgammon applications out there .. If things get better .. I wil post a new review !
Its been years since I played BG on line. Was used to a real on line opponent so I have not adjusted to this format. First impression after 8 games is the opponent moves are not always quality moves plus they happen so fast the opportunity to formulate an opinion as to all their options is somewhat pointless. Its how I prefer to play.
It feels like you are the only one present actually, not much satisfaction for me personally.
But you might like that kind of action.

I bought this because some of the reviews were fairly positive. It is far too easy and worst of all, the dice rolls are NOT random - far from it!!! Disappointing because its sadly predictable and boring.
I love Backgammon but I find very little challenge even at IRS most difficult level.
